Antique Shops and Salvage Yards

Arts and Antiques Quarter (Francis Street, Dublin 8). Three of the best affordable antiquaries here are: Time Piece, a gallery of clockwork wonders; Dublin Art Metals, for lovers of shiny pretty things; and The Oriental Rugs Co., for that unique handwoven masterpiece.

Mac’s Warehouse (Islandbridge, Dublin 8), the go-to place for people undertaking big period renovation projects.

Christy Bird’s (Portobello, Dublin 2), a family business and possibly Ireland’s oldest vintage store.

Siopaella (Temple Bar, Dublin 2), the place to go for vintage fashion, it has just added homewares to its offering this summer.

Kirk Modern (Sandymount, Dublin 4), the definitive Ireland-based Danish and European mid-century specialist.
